Healing From Harm

The fragments of shifting from an old self to a new self

The good phase of healing – when we become like the caterpillar who dissolves itself into goo before transitioning into the butterfly. We become fragments of ourselves as we shift from our old self to a new self.

I am going through a big shift. My mind can only handle fragments of insight and execution, and my body sways from constriction to flow like a grandfather clock. During these times, I find it hard to be creative in my work as all my resources are used to create a more authentic me internally. So, I rest, play, and sit with my shifts as they tell me what they need to proceed.

Here are the inspirations I have come up with. Perhaps they will call to you when you go through your goo phases of healing.

Poems

Both of these poems are from my upcoming book. I am still writing it. It will be poems of healing, abuse, the effects of the patriarchy, and the return to the divine feminine within us.

Resources

My goo phase is helped by four things:

  • Mother Nature
  • Support
  • Radical Acceptance
  • Somatic Nervous System Regulation Exercises

You can find worksheets on these in my store and stories of my healing in my blog.
