The masculine/feminine duality is man-made to split our psyche. It is not nature-based. Do you think a bear, a dolphin, a spider, or a lizard behaves instinctually and then wonders if it is acting in its feminine or masculine energy? We act out of survival, desire, emotions, and purpose. Most of our behaviours are unconsciously done unless we undo our conditioning. An ideology of masculine/feminine is cognitive-based, not biological, and therefore not inherent to our essential being but rather social conditioning of stereotypes.
Driven isn’t the masculine part of you. You want to be actively responsible for your well-being, which is important for a stable and content life. Gentleness isn’t the feminine part of you. You respond to life with empathy and analytical observation of what nurtures us.
We are humans, animals, creatures of nature, minerals and atoms, energy and vibrations, extensions of Mother Nature’s consciousness. There is no masculine and feminine. There are males and females and how we behave.
I am pondering the idea of naming them masculine and feminine instead of, let’s say, reception and production or internal development and external development. Why describe it by sex? Was it to put the men in hierarchal power as the masculine is more observed and therefore recorded as successful? In contrast, the feminine is unseen, cannot be measured with external tools and is deemed less worthy. So, men became the better sex because of this? The concept seems like something men would conjure to put them in power and a place of worship.
New – Blog Shorts
To keep consistent with my publishing, I will be adding blog shorts to my site. These are quick musings rather than long articles. I think they are just as important to our healing as bite-sized meals to nourish us.
I hope you enjoy them.
